I find his work really inspirational as not only do they look really modern and beautiful, but they are clever and funny. I love the skill and attention to detail in his work, there are no boundaries for him, he just goes for it. I would like to experiment more with my own illustrations and not be scared to try new techniques and styles.

DIGITAL ARTS MAGAZINE

Above are illustrations created for the Digital Arts Magazine, a magazine that focuses on designing through computer software. I have a lot of experience in creating vector illustrations on Adobe Illustrator, so thought that this would be a great opportunity to create a design that can be used for a magazine cover, a great asset to my portfolio, as it shows I can create illustrations and put them into context.
As you can see they love bright and eye-catching illustrations, lots of detail and designs that have a clean cut and professional finish.

NEW YORKER MAGAZINE - Political Designs

Above features the 'best selling' political illustrations produced for the New Yorker Magazine. As well as focusing on the iconic and visual aspects of New York City I would also like to produce another cover design that looks at the politics of New York as well as current affairs. I think that this could be really exciting for my portfolio as I have never produced a political illustration before.

NEW YORKER MAGAZINE - Visual Designs

Above are some existing designs that have been used for the New Yorker magazine. I have chosen to look at mostly digital based illustrations as I would like to concentrate on this way of working for my magazine cover designs, in order to show off my skills in digital art and graphic design.
As you can see the images above all evolve around the visual and iconic aspects of New York. This is something I want to focus on for my own design, however I would like to merge lots of these into one design as opposed to focusing on just one thing. I think that this would offer something unique and different.
